I get weird noise from my steering wheel (or somewhere near it) especially when I drive on brick road (granit cubes) or a bumpy/rough road. I tapped on several spots on steering wheel just to demonstrate the noise I get.

The car is Audi A6 C5 3.0 Quattro. Also the same steering on A4 B5.


Any idea what that would be?

 

That sounds like the noise that I just fixed in my 08 a6. It was hard to tell where it was coming from. Mine noise was the shield under the glovebox that goes to the kick panel. It was rattling one every bump. Check that.
