weird starting issues - B7
Hi all. Hope this is the right place to post this. My B7 (A4 2.0T -2007- stock) has 80k miles. Bought it new. Got a new battery installed in August 2015. Last week it started having trouble starting. Then it didn't start at all. Just clicked. AAA came out and gave us a jump, said it was a bad battery. I took the battery out and put it on a bench charger and it said full charge in about an hour which I thought was too short. I took the car to autozone where they tested the battery three times. the first time it came up as a bad battery and the second and third times it came up good. Auto Zone tested the alternator as well. It's fine. The car was fine for a few days but happened last night again- if I attach my power pack it starts right up. Everything points to a bad battery but this battery is practically new- installed at the dealership. Is there anything else I should be looking at? I also should mention the remote door opener doesn't work any longer and that's new since August 2015 as well. Thanks all.

Just because it's "new" doesn't mean it won't be defective. If you got it at the stealer....er...dealer and it's still under warranty, make them swap it out.
Also there is a process in the owners manual to reprogram the key fob. It could be a dead battery in the key fob. Those are usually replaceable. They are a couple of thin watch batteries sandwiched onto each other in the fob. The fob usually can be popped open to replace them. The batteries can be gotten at any place that sells watch batteries.
