I have a 1996 Audi a4. A few months ago it went into limp mode, so i dropped it off at the mechanics came back and it was cleared. Don't remember exactly what he said but, for the most part he said he looked at the transmission fluid and everything was fine. That was about 5 months ago. Now I have no reverse, well reverse comes and goes and when i put it in reverse sometimes the r will not light up. I was thinking about removing the tcm to see if reverse would work. But I don't want to do it if, i remove it and i would have to reprogram.
