Default Wheel fitment Question

I'm looking for a new set of wheels and wanted to ask what the term "ET" means with regards to wheel fitment and/or size?

Specifially, I'm looking at a set of Hartmann B7 RS4 replicas and notice there are 3 different ETs available for the 18x8.

Thanks for the input! Dankhound is right...The ET is the offset. I spoke with Skyler @ Hartmann Wheels who confirmed.

Techbod, I think you mistook the original question as referring to "tyres", but it looks like <incrementalg> was referring to wheels/rims, in which case <Dankhound> was right, it's the offset in mm. Too much of an offset and the wheels/rims and tire could rub against the brakes/ suspension.
