Who's changed a headgasket?

Default Who's changed a headgasket?

GF's car (Subaru Forester) just blew a headgasket. Looks like I am gonna be ripping that engine apart.
I am doing more work on her car than mine... WTF I thought subies were reliable?

I've heard that the subies head gasket is a bitch to replace. but i don't think i can help ya here dude, never done it. Jest though he had some trouble with his... maybe he can help you out.
This is so wierd... brrman asking for some advice... apocalypse?

EDIT: I think that was you who told me subies head gaskets are bitches....

I'm not 100% sure but I think you gotta pull the motor to have enough clearance to remove the heads. My buddy blew up his 99 2.5 rs subaru and they charged him for engine r&i, damn those horizantally opposed 4 cylinders

Man, i blew my headgasket, but i needed a whole new engine too.
