still in a state of shock, what does anyone think of this quote for my 1989 audi tt service ....

New engine sump required - £493.30
NSF track rod end has excessive play - £272.99
Quattro system oil & filter change required - £372.73
Cambelt & waterpump replacement recommended - £449.00
Battery replacement recommended - £298.84
Rear brake pads 90% worn - £99.00
Rear brake discs worn - £166.05
OSF intermittently not working – new headlamp required - £561.63
Brake fluid change due - £49.00
Cam cover gasket leaking oil - £515.73
All prices above include parts, labour and VAT
As per your enquiry below here are the reasons behind each item required…
Engine sump plug removed for every service which overtime can reduce the thread within the sump no longer allowing a new sump plug to fit correctly therefore unable to seal the oil contained.
NSF track rod end deteriorated overtime.
Quattro oil & filter change due at 60k miles (vehicle currently on 56323)
Cambelt replacement recommended due for change at 75k miles or every 5 years which ever is sooner
Battery not holding sufficient charge
Rear pads worn
Rear discs worn
Xenon headlamp ignitor intermittently not working so OSF headlamp not always working. Comes built into headlamp
Brake fluid change recommended every two years
10 Rubber cam cover gasket deteriorated and leaking engine oil."
