Hi! I have an 01 A4 1.8Tqt. It needed new wipers so I got some (Bosch Icons, FWIW). However, when I went to take the old wipers off, I noticed that the driver's side wiper was really hefty, and had a large "spoiler" on it. The passenger's side wiper didn't have the spoiler, but it likewise had a heavy metal frame -- nothing like the plastic/composite frames that aftermarket blades usually come with.

So, my question is: the next time I need to replace the wipers, should I try to get inserts for (what I'm assuming are) the factory wipers, instead of regular replacement blades? And if so, do I need to go to the dealer for them? I don't know if my local auto store has them.
