Best suggestions for exhaust upgrades for a 2002 a6 2.7t?

Going purely for sound..like to keep the resonator on to keep the low-frequency buzz, but i want to make it louder when the car is idling..and no cheap rice-popper exhaust when the car is shifting, just something smooth. Price limit is $500-$700.

I can't think of anything I have seen in the prefab aftermarket in that price range. Hit the yellow pages and see if there is a muffler/exhaust shop in the area and give them a call. Exhausts are simple if you just want sound, they should be able to help

 

I forgot to mention piggie pipes. If you get bored on a weekend check out a DIY and have at it. Good mod for this engine and supports further exhaust work well.
