Default Exhaust Help PLEASE

Hey everyone!

I have a 2001 TT 225 quattro.

I have an APR exhaust kit on it now.

I really like the kit, and i like the sound, but it is just WAY to loud on the inside of the car.

I cant hear a word anyone is saying when i am driving because it is so loud.

It really doesn't sound that loud outside but inside it is just way to loud.

Is the the exhaust system? or is it the car?

If its the system what do you guys think i should do in order to make it less loud in the cabin? should i get a whole new system? or is there something easier.

Thanks!

James

Default

check the type of hangars it is using, if it has the metal L brackets to small rubber bushings, try and get rid of the metal part and run an extended rubber hangar..

using all rubber hangars will reduce exhaust drone.... you could also try pulling down the heat shield that goes between the body and the exhaust, throw some dynamat up there then re-install the heat shield. so that its car body-dynamat-heat shield- exhaust..

those 2 steps should significantly reduce in cabin exhaust noise.
