I've been planning a big turbo build for quite some time, but unfortunately my state passed a law restricting exhaust noise levels to no more than 95 decibels. My question is if there's a way to legally complete this build (full 3" exhaust turbo-back, external wastegate, etc.) without noticeably restricting the turbo's performance?

 

Anyone have a ballpark figure what decibel range I could achieve without restricting this turbo? I don't mind adding more mufflers if I have to.

I would call 034 Motorsport. they have one of the only 3" systems that i know of so they should know the decibel range. That's where i would start, that way you have a baseline to go from...

 

I kinda' forgot about this thread until just now. Good idea, I'll have to give Stealth and 034 Motorsport a call and see what their ranges are.
