Default What mufflers to use for custom exhaust?

I am thinking I'll run 2 mufflers & 2 resonators.. which should keep it sort of quiet..

I was thinking APEXi style mufflers in the back (I just want the big tips sticking though my valence) and some sort of resonator..

Any ideas which could help me out?

Default RE: What mufflers to use for custom exhaust?

I just had mufflers and tips installed on my B6 3.0 FWD. I went with Magnaflow mufflers and Magnaflow 3.5" straight cut tips. I left the factory resonator, although I believe Magnaflow does make dual resonators. Overall, I'm happy with the tone and there is a boost in performance. Its not much louder than stock, but does have a lower note to it. I debated whether or not to remove the resonator, like some guys do, but after listening to the exhaust with ONLY the resonator in place, I decided there was plenty of noise and air passing through the resonator. In the future I might upgrade to a full cat back system, but I'm happy with it for now.
