I'm looking into this exhaust system for my A6. It's made for an s4, but it fits my 2000 2.7t, my question is, will this be really loud on my car. I'm not really familiar with the different types of exhaust and how they vary by design and what makes some louder or not. I don't want something super loud, but I want it to sound louder than my stock. Will this be a good bet?

Oh, and one more question, that exhaust is offered with or without test pipes, $100 bucks less w/o them. What are test pipes, and are they worth 100 bucks

 

I would double check the fitment on those downpipes, I don't think the A6 and the S4 are routed the same but I could be wrong. Also the downpipes for the 6spd and the tip are different. As far as the test pipes go they eliminate the Cats, this is illegal and will cause, in most cases, the CEL to come on.
