Is this normal? i have a 2002 audi and it lights up... does the 1998 a4 1.8 turbo fwd air vents not light up at night? i could have sworn i remembered they lit up...anyone elses that doesnt light up? i checked all the fuses and everything is fine...

 

That's normal.....mine don't light up.

 

The earliest cars that would have that would be the 99.5 (facelift) cars. My early 99 doesn't have it. It may even be a newer feature than that.
