Searched and found several tint threads, but nothing on this.

I just had my windows tinted (35%) on my new S5. The sides look fantastic, but looking through my mirror or over shoulder out the back, it's cloudy and not very clear. It's even worse on overcast days and night driving. Looks excellent from the outside however.

The guy who did this has been tinting for almost 20 years and uses quality films...he's done a few of my cars in the past with great results. He's happy to reapply it again, but believes it's the extreme angle of the S5's rear window causing the issue.

Any other late model A5/S5 owners have this issue?

 

did u just get it tinted cuase it should take a few days to a week to clear up competly. If not satisfied take it back and have him redo it. Most tint shops have warranty

 

Yeah, let it set for a couple weeks, no change. He'll do under warranty, just concerned that it may look the same with the extreme window angle.

 

As of 5/09, Did time eventually cure the cloudiness in your window tint?
