Hey what's up guys...I have a couple issues w/ my a4's and it would be awesome if someone locally would be willing to hook up the vag com. I actually bought a cheap china cable and downloaded the software but it's not compatible w/ vista.....so I'm waiting till I get some funds.

i live in lake county as well, if you go to dubwerks in libertyville they are usually pretty cool, maybe $20, the libertyville vw is occasionally cool. does the software really not work on vista? hmm... i just got a laptop and was hoping to get a vag-com. i guess i could put a second operating system on it specifically for vag-com use. i usually see the guys running windows 2000 on vag-com laptops.

 

cool where in lake county? I'm in gurnee sometimes (go to school in MI).

IN regards to vag com the free software they have available is for 2000 or xp....but if you want it to work for vista you'll have to pay. I was just trying to go the cheap route and it just ended up w/ it not working. My advice (if you have the $), is to just buy it from ross tech.
