i'll just mention that my accountant advised me that i have other options other than this particular deal.

i'll use "my accountant" in a sentence somehow.

as bad as it sounds....can't trust audi.
maintenance costs would be high even for small things.
insurance would probably be high, too.

OMG..... I'M A PAGE 2 TOPPER!!!

ok guys......get your nips out with your tips out!!

sounds a bit too risky...if ya ask me.
so even if insurance is reasonable... labor costs on anything would remain high.

i know you're just trying to help and i appreciate that, but my friend got a 96 A4 and it was nothing but a money pit. they scoffed at me because i said audi's were good cars.

You've got to consider what those people think a "money pit" is, though. Hell, my parents probably think my car is a money pit at this point. And I wouldn't even want to think of what my grandparents would think of my car if I told them how much the maintenance is on it.

But yeah, I'd probably still stick with a Honda...unless you really want that Hyundai and think you're getting a good enough deal on it.

well, i'd prefer a honda, but i'm having trouble finding one and i don't want to wait forever!! hubs doesn't want to go to a small "mom and pop" dealer which is where i'm finding them.
given the low amount of mileage that will be put on the car, i thinkthis hyundai with 77K miles will work and will (if not crashed) have enough miles left for decent resale value.

i'd kinda like to get a car this week.

on a side note, i saw on the news about it being the beginning of hurricane season and how they think they're going to be more destructive each year and damage done to gulf drilling wells could affect gas prices where they said that $5 and $6 a gallon would be a bargin!!
maybe i should be looking into a scooter or a schwinn bicycle!!!
