Alright,

I guess I need some help pulling the trigger. https://www.audiforums.com/m_838821/tm.htm lower price. Im thinking that has to be a good deal - they are a bit more expensive on other websites.

But then on Ebay I check and they are roughly the same price. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts on the seller? If you view his other posts, it looks like he has been "Laid off" for quite a while.

Let me know what you think people. It would be 670 shipped.
then you are easily looking at close to 300 per tire, so 1200 more for tires? that is 1800 bones......... i would go on tire rack or some other site and you can get a set... 4 wheels and tires 18's for 1200....... i would say no

Good News for the MOD enthusiast.... The 2009 S4 b8 will feature a 3.0T. Thats right a bi-turbo 3.0 which stock produces 330 hp. I bet you can chip it and produce around 400 hp. I also guess that the 3.0 is using ko3's so for a Ko4 conversion maybe 520 or so! God, I cant wait for that engine.
off topic, but this got me thinking......

i'm all for high powered performance cars, but with the price of gas practically going up each and every day, does Audireally expect to find much ofa market for that car? or for that matter, even the ones that are already out there. i know there are ultra wealthy people out there that don't even notice the price of gas, but i'd much prefer them look at the mainstream consumer and market a sleek contemporary sports car that won't cost $100K and suck down the gas!
maybe they're already doing this.
i guess i just get frustrated at all the things they put out there that are out of reach. i also don't like the fact that if i did buy one of their "latest and greatest", it would only be a matter of months before something "new and improved" would hit the market, making my prized possession just an oblsoetething of the past.
maybe that's a marketing ploy to brainwashing us that we always need more...in which case, i'm somewhat resentful that the corporation towhichi've been loyal is thanking me by manipulating me.

does this sound like a rant? it wasn't supposed to be.
here is the thing though, they know that people always wanna have the newest thing on the road and one up each other........ that is not their fault, that is eve's fault for eating the apple.... but that is besides the point, they also understand gas is the way it is, and it is from what i have read/heard even more expensive over in germany/europe......... but i could scrip and get 89 octane and not run my tunning, but they why would i have my audi and not a honda....... they know that people will buy high end luxuary cars over cheap looking jap cars, cause they love the car/culture/status symbol, whatever it may bring...... look at the people who buy diesel cars/trucks and what they pay, do you think that diesels will ever quit being made? what i am suprised at, is that audi doesn't have a electric/hybrid yet..... and you know, if it is not out yet, that they are making a s version of the q7... salesman told me he thought they were just going to call it an sline... even thought it would be more like the s cars or cayenne s(which is a 911 turbo in suv clothing)

it was rantish, but not full blown rant

actually i bet a 3.0 TT would get better mileage than the 4.2 N/A (under normal driving circumstances).

my 1.8 is supposed to too, but i bet kelly and i get about the same or she might get better than i do

when that turo kicks in...... it is hard to keep the foot out of it...... matt, you have riden in your buddies t/ed scion, and you have driven the 4.2, but kyle who has a b5 s says he feels from his butt dyno that my car is faster than his, although a little race proved that wrong, maybe on the 10th you could go for a ride and see what this lil 1.8 feels like....... and we know your car is faster from that lil race

A turbo car is very capable of getting good gas milage, but only if your not using boost. When you dont use boost, a turbo atomizes the air being blown into your engine causeing the gas to burn more efficiently. In turn there will not be any or very little unburned fuel wasted.

but once you get in to that boost, it is hard to stay out....... specially with the fast spooling ko3....... not big, but still fun

Thanks for the input turbo - I found some tires that were $150 a piece on the tire rack, and some others that were $126 (General something).

I just dont know. Its a big decision. $150Tires would put it at about $1300, plus mounting/balancing here in town = +$150?. I could probably get some RS4 reps that are mounted and balancedfor not much more.

And I agree. Theoritacally my old civic would get 30mpg. But it never did because of how I drove it.

So in Theroy, I guess a 3.0TT would get better mileage, and im sure next time you see grandma driving one, it will actually be getting that mileage. Gut I would assume "Real world" mileage would be pretty close to the 4.2.

Cant wait to see a 3.0TT audi .
