"new" B5 in Texas
I just picked up a 96 A4 2.8 5 speed, my first "new" car.
A few other cars I've worked on and driven include, 64 Impala, 62 VW singlecab, 60 VW T1 (the "Royal Select" bug for any vintage veedubers out there), a brief encounter with a 49 Ford, as well as a 64 Galaxie.
Plans for the B5 are minimal and simple. debadged, new headlights, facelift tail lights, badgeless grill, painted front, rear and lower sides, possibly a lower stance, nothing out of the ordinary, oh and get rid of the crappy fadded purple window tint. I don't have many power mods in mind, being a 2.8, other than maybe less restriced airflow in and out of the engine. The exhaust would need to be nice and quite, though.
Really, I just want a clean, simple, driver with a touch of attitude.
I'm a Photography student in Austin, TX, ride a few different bicycles, and park cars at a high-brow resaurant here in town. After driving luxury cars each night for nearly three years, the Audi is still the nicest make I park (even nicer than the $400k Maibachs and Bentlys). Of course, this is just my opinion, but I have a feeling a few of you might agree.
cheers.
