I bought a 2001 S4 B5 about 6 months ago and it has a few upgrades such as a APR 3stage ECU and full stainless exhaust, forge diverter valves and it ran really great up until a couple weeks ago when out of no where I lost 4th and 5th gear. There was no warning it just worked and then it didn't! In the receipts that came with it I found one that said the torque converter had been replaced about a year and a half ago.
I've read that if the passenger floor board gets wet that can mess up the triptronic computer?and mines gotten real wet before. My Dad says it sounds like a solinoid to him and I'm hoping it's not clutch packs or a internal problem .
Any advice will be much appreciated

Just over a week with my first Audi A4 B6 2.0 … with a build date of 5/2003 and an odometer of 86,000km (53,500miles) over 12 years, periods of prolonged inactivity have produced issues … look forward to sharing.

 

Glad I found this forum... we just got an Audi S4 & love it... can't wait to get inspired by other peoples mods.
