Default New Audi for my wife

Hi Forum, I just got a new Q7 for my wife. It is the nicest and most expensive vehicle we have ever had and my wife loves it. I have some questions about the rear suspension system and wondered which Forum I can use to learn from those of you who are knowledgable and willing to direct me? Thanks, GL

Default noob in the house

Hi everyone I'm Brandon Iman from Granite Falls, NC a noob to all this especially audis, but I am in love with the one I bought. I found one a 99 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8 5 speed, leather interior, power everything. It was missing in the number 6 cyl the guy said it was a bad engine. I paid $1200 for the car I put in new spark plug wires and spark plugs and it runs like the pretty german girl should. I've put new wheels and tires on it, it has 225/40/r18's with stock 2015 Audi rims. I dont want to build a race car but I'm looking to keep her as classy sporty as possible. I've got a couple more things I want to do but overall I'll have put less than $3000 when all is said and done. I love it and I hope I can meet some new people and make her better and expand my knowledge of her. Thanks for reading

I've read that if the passenger floor board gets wet that can mess up the triptronic computer?and mines gotten real wet before. My Dad says it sounds like a solinoid to him and I'm hoping it's not clutch packs or a internal problem .
Any advice will be much appreciated
Only just bought an Allroad myself, but if your transmission computer has been drinking, it would be the first suspect. Also, if the tranny has not had a fluid change, it would be a good idea. These so called 'sealed for life' transmissions are in fact 'sealed for death'. The fluid should be changed (fully, not just drained from the bottom) about every 75,000kms. Your Dad may well be right, the solenoids can & do fail, but you would normally expect some indications from them. Their coil resistance gets out of limits, but that is normally a more gradual event, and I think that you would had some intermittent changes before total failure of a solenoid.

Default S6 C6 Avant in UK, Cheshire

I just re-homed an abused 2007 Sprint blue S6 C6 Avant. The car was nicked by some bad men who made it do some bad things. Then the good guys caught the bad men and put the car in a pound for months before selling it to a breaker who rode around in it for another 6 months. I rescued the car (via ebay) and cleaned and polished inside and out so it already looks quite smart. It is booked in for a body makeover late June 2015. But some electronics (MOST/MMI, airbag etc.) are kaput; due to water ingress (in cabin not boot/trunk). Alleged 'experts' failed to help much (except their bank accounts!) so my mission is to restore full functionality; hopefully with help from all my new friends on this forum!
