Hey all. New member here, name is Tom and live in Colorado Springs. Real good friend offered me his 2000 TT Quatro for practically nothing and I love it and how well it does in the snow.
My only problem happened three days ago. I left the headlights on and didn't drive the car for a couple days so when I went to unlock it....nothing. I thought the batteries in FOB were bad so replaced them and nothing. Then noticed the headlights in on position so took battery out; charged it over night. reinstalled it and followed directions of inserting key, turning to "on" position and waiting 5-10 seconds for it to reset.
Nothing. No lights; horn; instrumentation, nothing. Checked all the fuses I thought might be associated with this but nothing.
I'm wondering if, because the battery drained completely down, that there is a secret procedure to follow that differs if you just change a weak battery.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
