Default 09 Audi S6 V-10

Well I needed to replace The transmission filter in my S6. I figured it would only be about an hour job, man was I in for a surprise! I put the car on the lift and drained the fluid, and proceeded to take the pan bolts off. Then I notice that the dual exhausts are blocking the 2 side screws on each side. The only way to get around this was to disconnect the exhaust system on both sides. I tried every type of told to get them screws to know revale before having to mess with the exhaust system. To do this I had to disconnect the driver side exhaust from the right below the manifold and disconnect it behind the 02 sensor and then disconnected again were the slide connection is to the exhaust midway down the car. On the passenger side of the exhaust I disconnected it right in front of the transmission Pan then below the oxygen sensor and again at the slide midway down the car. This gave me access to remove the pan screws that needed to be removed. If you're planning on doing your own instead of paying Audi $1500, make sure you have a car lift!! I wish there was more post on the S6 V-10 but they are very limited and or no post or a video to show you how to do this period it took a little over 4 hours from start to finish. Why they put the exhaust system over top of the oil Pan is beyond me, I guess that's their way of making u bring it in and why they charge so much to do this. You definitely need at impact ranch and extensions to get this job done, but it is very doable!!!!!
