2005 Audi S4 Parasitic battery draw
Hi all, new to this forum. I have a 2005 Audi S4 wherein my battery dies in a matter of minutes. It's a new battery. Alternator is charging and I keep it on a 10 AMP float charger.
I pulled the negative battery terminal and connected a circuit tester. Pulled each fuse one by one... light stayed on. Pulled all of the fuses, light stayed on. Pulled the starter fuse (cable) from the positive battery light went out. Pulled the starter relay, light stayed on.
I am thinking the cable has a partial short, enough to kill the battery but not blow the fuse.
Weirdest thing is that the battery will go from 12.4 volts to 6 volts... and then just stay at 6 volts.
Any thoughts or further direction would be greatly appreciated.
