Hi:

We have an Audi A4 1/2 that we purchased in September 2005. We are currently having trouble with the transmission. While driving, the transmission intermittentlyloses power while the engine is still running. If we turn the car off for a few minutes or wait while the engine is running, the transmission slowly begins to work again. Has this happened to anyone else and what is the remedy? Also, does anyone know if there is a recall for this problem, in that, since we have owned the car (which we purchased new), there is a slight pause when the gas pedal is applied to move forward or backwards.

By the way, there is a great mechanic is the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area called Beach House Imports. From what we have experienced, they do excellent work and are honest....very rare these days.
