Help needed. Possible ignition lock out problem or similar if that's the right terminology . Audi A8 2004 3L petrol. Performing perfectly normal. Backed into garage previous evening, Next morning remote fob recognised for opening up and switching off security but did not switch on the ignition for starting either pushbutton facility or key in the ignition lock facility. Dash screen remain blank apart from mileage and time. Confirm fob is communicating with system as the little green spotlight flash demonstrates when starter pushbutton engaged. The MMI opens up as well. Key fob battery renewed and main car battery checked okay for maximum charge and voltage. Added complication. Car in garage with tight squeeze either side, gearshift in parking and electronic brake on. Help needed with suggestions of what the problem might be plus how I can release the electronic handbrake in the circumstances and get the gearshift out of park into neutral
