Another noob to Audi :)
Hey guys, first off id like to mention while i will be a first time owner of an audi i have been around the tuner scene and auto bizz for a while. Ive had a modded wrx, turbo b16 Civic SI, moded EP3 Civic SI, moded accord, integra, gtp, 540i, and a variety of other vehicles. I will be hopefully purchasing a 2003 A4 quattro 1.8t on wednesday. If we cant work something out on the price, another person has a really low mileage 99 a4 quattro 1.8t that i might get as a back up. Hopefully ill be getting the 03 tho.
I plan on doing some mods but this will mostly be my daily driver/ winter car. Ill check around the forums and threads to find some of the good starter upgrades to do.. im assuming like most turbos doing intake, dp, exhaust etc is a good way to start. Any other suggestions please feel free to drop em to me. Ill confirm this week what and when i get something

Skip the intake (the stock one is good enough until you decide to go BT), but a chip, DV, and decent exhaust will make the 1.8T much more spirited. Don't even think about a BOV (I see a turbo Civic on your list, and this was the first thing to come to mind).
Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your purchase. Before you buy, though, hit up the FAQ on the top of the B5 section (most of it still applies to the B6 1.8T). You'll learn a lot of things to look out for when buying an older 1.8T. Also, look around and see if you can find a '01 or '02 S4. 2.7 V6 bi-turbo (twin turbo). A simple chip and a couple DVs, and your daily driver will probably outrun your WRX with 300+ HP and Tq.
