Default Another noob here... '06 A4 2.0T Quattro

Hey Everybody!

Very happy to be posting that I FINALLY picked up my new used 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro from the dealeryesterday. Beautiful condition with only 20k miles & all the bells & whistles - Navi+, convenience package, iPod adapter, etc.

I'm very happy (read as "can't stop grinning") so far & looking forward to a long relationship with her.

First call to order is the debadging but am a bit concerned. To Goo or not to Goo? I've read probably 100+ posts on debadging & found good and bad reports on Goo Gone. I believe the color is the "Deep Sea Pearl" but am not sure - she's a beautiful dark blue though - and I'm afraid to mar her fine finish.

I'll post that in a more appropriate forum... but later. I have to stop typing & go drive her again.

Cheers.

debadged- I debadged the deck lid on my A6 i used a 3m product that i pick up at my local paint shop around ten bucks call your local auto paint supply to see what they say. mine has no damage to paint and looks great.
good luck
(look at my picks and you will see the deck lid)

Thanks for the welcomes & I will do my best to live up to the lifestyle

Got her debadged today. Tried the Goo Gone on an insconpicuous place with no problems, then kept my fingers crossed & went for it. Got all the glue off with no problem, there is a bit of a ghost effect but I've read that will come out with a few good waxes(I hope).

Planning to chip her next but just started researching that (so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated). Plan to get some new wheels, drop her just a bit & find an aero kit I like but those are longer term plans.

Thanks again!
