Hey guys I am completely new to the audi brand. I want to buy one, i am thinking of buying an audi a4 2.8 Q (1998+). I have got about $8,000 to spend. i am currently driving a 1995 Ford Probe GT with some very minor mods (CAI, tokico HP, and KVR breaks). In the last week i have just absolutley fallen in love with these beautiful monsters and can't wait to get my hands on one. I hope that you guys can give me some advice when looking for an a4 and i hope to be a long time owner of one.

 

Hey welcome to the forums! Do you plan on modding the engine at all in the future? If you do you should consider picking up a 1.8t as the engines are quite moddable. Much more so than the 2.8. With a few mods you can have more HP than the 2.8.

If the car is around 70k miles make sure the timing belt, water pump, idle pully, etc has been changed.
