Hi all

I have just purchased an Audi A4 TSE on an 03 plate from a local garage.To my horror 4 days after buying the car I could smell petrol.I called the AA and he told me that the fuel pipe from the tank to the filter had been rubbing on the chasis and had a hole the size of a pin head in it, thus was leaking petrol. He fixed the problem by putting a sleeve over the fractured pipe, and advised me to take to an Audi dealer.On speaking to the dealer they said that a car this age should not have incurred this sort of problem.
Can anyone tell me if they have encountered this sort of issue before ?
I have since had the garage that I bought the car from agree to pay the costs but I wanted others to be aware too.
