Hey folks,

I just got myself a used 2002 A6 2.7T Auto Quattro (111,000miles). After test driving various other used AWD and also brand new vehicles I drove this one. It had to be mine, what an awesome ride. I plan on putting some cash into it to make sure it lasts for a long time. (Timing belt and related accessories)
I am curious in finding out the condition of the turbo's. I will search the database to see how it's done.
So good to see such a big community and so much information specific to my vehicle.

Congrats on the purchase. be sure to read the 2.7T sticky in the A6 section. there is a lot of good information there. No real good way to get "eyes" on the turbos (mirrors help). biggest indication of a problem is the "dentist drill" noise. If you have cause for concern, you can install a boost gauge to help you "see" a problem. Also, keep an eye out for leaks (oil or coolant). check the DVs, if they are still the originals you may want to replace/upgrade them, just because.
