Default Cheers!

Nate here.

-I've been looking for a good DD fit for a few years now and picked up an 04 S4 last week.

The commute is up and down the 280 between SF and San Jose and performed at least a few days per week. As far as commutes go it's not that bad. People exceed the speed limit on average ~15-20mph. By "on average" I mean that joe public will run your *** over if you're not doing at least 80. I like that, and the facts that the road is constantly changing direction or elevation and the scenery is gorgeous.

Aside from the commute I love playing on tight mountain roads and grew up flying recklessly at 10/10ths up and down goat trails on my way to ski or board. I don't intend to track S4 much if at all, but probably will give it one or two floggings for good measure. I have a dedicated track beast on duty anyway so there's no reason to go nuts on this car. So even though I always say this, I really do plan on keeping this car close to stock!

The last DD was an S55 AMG; land jet, comfy, numb. Before that it was a relatively mild EVO IX; high strung ballerina on steroids, loud, poorly geared for sustained high speeds.

I don't know much about Audis specifically, and look forward to learning about this car. Impressions so far are good and I must give praise to the fit and finish on the car. It's packaged nicely and has an all-around tight feel to it. Power delivery is sane, nothing too crazy, and refreshingly NA.

Cheers!
