I need some good advice... badly. I'm looking at puchasing this 99' 2.8 A4 quattro, 72k, tiptronic. Problem is the trans tail gasket is leaking something fierce. Does anyone know how expensive of a fix this would be? How about how hard/time consuming it would be to do it myself? I've tried to negotiate the fix before I buy, but the dealer won't budge. I'm assuming it's expensive. I had it inspected off site by my mech, and aside from the leak, he said it was a "good car" I've also test drove near every other audi around, and performance wise, this one takes the cake. No tranny slippage what-so-ever, and the engine pulls STRONG. So what do you guys think?

 

look longer, thats waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over priced.

 

You can find a better deal, stay away from that one.
