I just got a 1999 audi a4 1.8t quattro, i love it to death lol its the nicest car ive ever had, and since my dad owns a certified german car repair shop, ill be able to take it in and do work on it myself with access to lifts and tool dont get me wrong, my parents DID NOT buy me this car, im not a spoiled little kid, im 21 years old, i live on my own paying all my own bills and i worked very hard to get the money for this car, also, my dad does not do any work on my cars, he only explains how to do work and gives me access to his computers and the ability to order parts at cost ( YAY) just wanted to explain that first off, because many people think my parents gave me this car lol.. i wish! but no.

first thing i was thinking about was boosting up horse power a bit, i understand this car has around 150hp stock, i have seen many adds for chipping the car, this sounds like an easy fast upgrade... but what chip would i want to get for this car? ne idea's?

try searching the forums - there are lots of threads re: chips for your car.

Thata great you have access to the shop ! means u can put more $$ towards
mods instead of repairs!

 

welcome. as for chip decisions it depends what you like. if you want more low end grunt but less high end power go with GIAC. if you want great high end power and moderate low end then go for APR. dont forget to swap out the DV as well
