hello all my name is David and i live in Amarillo TX. just bought a 98 A8 quattro drove it home from Chicago,drove flawlessly. so far loving this car.. there doesn't seem to be much talk about these cars why is that? also does anyone know where i can find my oil filter? lol i looked briefly but didn't see anything, i look forward to learning more about this fine car and getting to know some of you. thank you for your time and knowledge...

Congrats on the car. glad you are enjoying the car so far. lots of nice folks in the A8 section for when you have questions. Not too many A8s so your question may take a little time to get answered. be sure to use the search function.

As far as your oil filter, I'm assuming your car has the 4.2? Anyway, you aren't going to find a "conventional" looking oil filter. Your car has a "cannister" style oil filter. Once you see it, you'll understand
