Question "Gearbox malfunction, you can continue driving" - Mystery problem on Audi q5

Hello members. I have 2011 Audi q5. It is 2.0 TFSI 211hp quattro with a 7 speed s-tronic transmission. I have the car for almost year and a half and I use it as my daily driver. I have done two regular services (oil, filters basic stuff) and the car functions perfectly and never had trouble with it. The only problem I have is that sometimes when I drive (in D) the car will fire up the following message "gearbox malfunction, you can continue driving with limited functionality". - Then I lose power (more so if I am driving uphill) and after few seconds the message is gone and I continue to drive normally. The message doesn't stay, and sometimes it doesn't come out for weeks, but other times can be very annoying and flash 10-15 times a day. I have no idea what triggers this behavior and I find it very odd that I drive the car for year and a half and it is the same thing (meaning nothing worse happened nor the problem evolved into something else). It is the same thing every-time. Can someone help me with this?
