Default Greeting from NH

Hello everyone!

I just joined the Audi forum and thought I would give you a bit of infomation.

I currently own two Audis, a Buick and Dodge pickup. The Audis are a 1988 Quattro 90 5-speed and a 1989 Quattro 200 Turbo 5-speed. The Buick is a Park Ave and the Dodge a Ram 1500.

I have been involved with automobiles for long time. Drove a stock car in the 60's, raced Datsuns and Alfa's at Watkins Glen in the 70's and am currently involved with NASCAR at a local short track.

My son (26 years old) was a customer service person for Porche/Audi. He got me interested in Audis.

The Audi 200 is used for transportation to work each day and has about 260,000 miles on it. I drive about 100 miles a day so the milage will continue to add up fast. It is a fantastic car and very comfortable. The 90 is somewhat of a garage queen. My son and I used it as a projet car and it is almost ready to go. If I had a problem with the Buick (the 200 would never have a problem [:@]) I could have it on the road in just a few hours.

Fred

Welcome to the forums. Hope you like it here. How are you currently involved with NASCAR? How long have you had the 200? Have you put the bulk of those miles on it yourself? You must know those engines inside and out. Which one do you like better?

Welcome to the forum NH_USA!

This is a great site. We keep the dialogue friendly and the attitude positive. The info is well received by all and we are here to help anyone with questions about their Audi or related subjects. It is a great site to find camaraderie with other "Audiphiles", too. I hope you find it to your liking.

If you're not familiar with this forum and the vocabulary, please click HERE or you can, at any time, go to the "New Member Welcome Area" forum and click on the "START HERE!" post at the top of the forum. There you will find a forum vocab list, an Audi forum terminology list and an Audi lexicon list. They should be very helpful to you if you're not familiar with the jargon.

Please feel free to ask any question, but double check the archives first. Many questions have been archived and, quite often, the answers are comprehensive.

If you want to notify us about a personal problem with the site or file a complaint about a particular member, please feel free to PM the Admin, me, or any other moderator. We will keep your PM confidential and respond as soon as possible. Otherwise, please feel free to post public messages about the forum on the "Forum Issues" forum (found at the bottom of the main menu). It is there that we prefer you "test" your sig, too.

We all welcome you and hope you find this sight informative and enjoyable.

I purchased the 200 from a friend a few months ago. He is a maticulous (**** compulsive) aircraft mechanic so the car is almost perfect.

I work in the tower as an official at a local NASCAR short track. The race director makes the official on-track calls but I make about 50% of them. It's great to have a bunch of influence and little responsibility!
