I am looking for some advise before I purchace a headlight switch for my 1996 A6 quattro automatic. The headlights all of a sudden stopped working, the highbeams only work if you hold the lever, the fog lights don't work, parking lights do work and one of the back up light is out (i replaced the bulb and it's still out). I took the switch out and there is no visible problem with it. How can I make sure that the switch is the cause of the problem. I checked all fuses, changed a headlight bulb and gone over it several times and can't find the problem.
Please help.
