Hello all
Well I thought I'd put my first post here since I just registered. I'm a previous audi owner (2001 A4 1.8T), I now drive a Honda, which is nice for it's reliability, but man do I miss the Audi...the turbo... the mods... the quattro... the luxury... So, the good news is I'm looking to get an Audi again! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a 2006 - 2008 A4 2.0T. I noticed there are ALOT of automatics, and only a handful of manuals, any particular reason for that? Are alot more people going with automatic/tiptronic with the newer cars? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Definitely don't settle for a tip if you're really after a manual. I think that most of the automakers look at semi-manual transmissions as the future of drivetrains, and we're going to continue to see fewer manuals offered as time goes on (look at the Scuderia Ferrari models - you can't even get a manual transmission in those). Glad to see you're looking to return to the fold. I had a 300ZX twin turbo before my A4, and although it was a road-going cruise missile compared to my A4 (I have a 200hp V6 in the Audi, vs the 515hp Z with 17psi of boost), but the build quality is incomparable and I love the A4. I miss my Z sometimes, but I never feel angry that I got my A4
Hope you find your B7 soon!

Hey Devil,
thanks for the welcome. Yea I'm definitely set on a manual, but for every manual transmission I come across there are about 10 auto's. It's kind of frustrating. You're right, you can't beat Audi's build quality. And after all this snow I miss the quattro like none other.
