Hey help me decide on my next car please!
Hey, I am currently looking for another daily driver. I am coming form a 1.8T GTI and i honestly love it. However, I feel like im growing out of the GTI and i need something that handles better, moves a lot quicker, AWD, and more luxurious. I am not into drag racing, but i do want the daily driver to be able to hit 12's in the 1/4 mile with a few mods ($4-$8k worth). I am very drawn into by track events and etc, and i do plan on tracking eventually. I have not tracked my car before, but i do go out on weekend drives in the canyons along with my EVO and honda buddies. I do commute ~100 miles a day to work and back, so reliability will be an issue.
To make it easier for you guys to help me, i thought id make a list of things im looking for in the car.
1.) Around $15k area. Nothing over $20k though.
2.) Has great potential for "GO"
3.) Is AWD (4WD) and must be able to handle well.
4.) Good selection of aftermarket parts.
5.) Nothing too big or too heavy.
6.) Nothing below 20mpg.
7.) Must be a reliable daily driver.
8.) Preferably something turboed, makes modding easier.
9.) I like hatches and wagons like 02+ Avants.
And to get an idea of what kind of cars that interests me, heres a short list.
1.) 02 Audi A4 Avant 1.8TQ.
2.) B5 Audi S4 2.7T
3.) Maybe Lexus IS300 (I know its not AWD, but at least its RWD)
4.) BMW of some sort. (I know, again its not AWD, but at least its RWD)
5.) Audi TT 1.8T Quattro 225 Model
6.) This 1 doesnt really fit in, but i have always loved them..Mini Cooper Type S

hi.. welcome to the forums...
try posting this in the Off Topic section...
but from your list of requirements - if Price & reliablity are a factor,
Id say go w/ the 1.8T - defenitly lots of mods available.
as for an S4 - It'll be a bit more in the long run, make sure you have the $$ to spend on
repairs & maintenance...
