Default Hi

Hey all. I usually post on Audilife.com, but decided to come here.

I'm from Colorado, going to school at CU and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I drive a Silver 99.5 A4 1.8TQMS. I've had it since December and love it. Only planning on adding a GIAC chip. Maybe some rims later. Current mods are in the sig.

Oh yea, use to have a civic before this and added almost every bolt on except turbo. Loved that car, but needed an AWD car since Colorado's snow is crazy.

Adam

Oh, I'll post pics tommorow after I wash it.

Welcome to the forum chaua!

I remember you from AL. This is a great place with great people - serious info without the attitude and without goofballs, too!

Yes, welcome to the forum! I imagine you'll be using every bit of your AWD out there. We had a Jimmy as our second car before we got the current minivan and my A4 quattro was far better in the snow than the Jimmy. The only thing obviously missing was the groud clearanc the Jimmy had.

Imolas4-Yea, I do remember you posting on AL. Its good to see the same ppl at new places.

Doose-
Yes, the A4 is great in the snow. Now I don't struggle to get up to the mtns anymore like in my civic. Its a breeze to go snowboarding.

Just washed the car and will post pics later guys, and thanks for the welcome.

Finally washed the car. Then the rain came in as I was drying the car . Oh well, here are the pics. Just installed an RS4 Grill from Avalon today. I think Ill paint my stock rings black and see how it looks with the RS4 grill. Still undecided if I should debadge the back. Enough talk.

Welcome! I'll bet that Quattro comes in handy out there. Our second car was a Jimmy for a while when we lived in Michigan and I'd take my Audi Quattro any day over the 4X4 Jimmy. Didn't have the ground clearance of the Jimmy, but the Quattro handled so much better. Looking forward to checkin ot the pics when you post them.

Welcome chaua... nice looking ride. Here's my tip on figuring if you want to debadge or not. My method was to stand behind my car and point my fingers at each other covering the badges. Using a little imagination, figured what it would look like debadged... then dropped the hands and looked at the badges... then a decision on which looked better.

I debadged, much cleaner. Worse case is, you debadge - figure you don't like it then put them back on.

It's always easier to deconstruct than it is to construct, if ya kow what I mean...

I like the badgless look too. Much cleaner!
