Default How to find the original seller (dealership)

My battery died while I was on a business trip on my 03 A6 3.0. The radio code was not given to us when we bought it, and we called the dealership we bought it from used but they did not have it. I looked through all of our paperwork to see if there was info regarding the dealership that it was originally bought from but of course there was nothing. Now to my question, is there any way to find the original dealer perhaps through the vin, (I am trying to avoid the 110$ fee from the local dealer). And if I were able to find them is there any chance they would have it or give it to me?

A shot in the dark but throw the vin out and I'll check carfax to see if any info pops up early on in the history.
This also...Maybe...
unlock" it by letting the car run with radio in SAFE mode for 1 hour
disconnect the battery for 15 minutes.
Also if you can use a VAG device and try to reset the radio. I'm guessing no on this though but thought I would throw it out there.
A whole other option would be just to replace it with an aftermarket cd player. No more security hassle ever .
