Just ordered my first Audi! Got a 2013 Q5. Got a question regarding the ordering process. Having difficulty with my dealership returning calls or generally having any sort of answer at all. Everything is "I'll have to ask a a manager and get back to you" and then I don't hear back so it is not installing much confidence already.

Anyway, question is this:

1. When I ordered the car, I put down a deposit and that was it. Left with zero paperwork. Kind of odd to me. Thought maybe I would get a copy of the purchase order or something?

2. Can you track the progress of your car? Before this car I ordered a 3 series BMW several years ago. During that build process, I could sign into a BMW owners circle website and track my specific car. It was admittedly very vague (building, en route to dealership, etc) but I could at least see when it got to the states. Anything like this for Audi?

I will admit I feel quite left up in the air. If this wasn't for the fact that I walked into a dealership, then I would probably think I got scammed. No paperwork showing I ordered a car, no "you'll hear from us by x-date", nothing. Just a thanks for the deposit see you in a few months.

Any insight into the process would be appreciated.

You placed a deposit on a car and got no paper work. Well, I have a big bridge in Brooklyn that I am willing to sell you, just give me a deposit and I will hold it for you till you have the rest of the money.

 

I also ordered a TT and got a Commnum nuber of X20310 for my eposit check.

Could someone look it up? Today is 2 weeks from when I gave them the check.
