Default New A4 owner from NEO

I'm from northeast Ohio (USA) and recently purchased a 2014 A4. Never owned a German car before, nor owned a luxury car either.

I am completely sold on this car, it is impressive in many ways, the best way I can describe this car is that it's smooth and balanced. I cannot see me going back to the US domestic car market after owning this, unless for a special niche car like a Viper or Ford GT.

Smile Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum. Just wanted to get some opinions on a 2006 Audi A4 Quattro 3.2 that I am thinking of buying privately. It is a very clean, well kept car and the seller says he has maintenance records for it. Asking price is $5200 which is an excellent price. My main concern is that it has very high km (278000) but they all highway km. Can anyone tell me the average life expectancy of this engine when it has been well maintained since new? Should i be concerned about wear on timing chains/guides? This will be a second vehicle for me and will only see abt 20,000km yr.I am mechanically inclined and do a lot of my own maintenance but need a reliable vehicle i can count on. I appreciate any advice on this matter.
