Hey all I'm Eric I bought my First Audi a 2001 A6 4.2 V8 with the Sport package in Sept! I'm loving this car!! browsed the site for a couple days decided to join and Say Hi! seems like a good bunch here! I'm also a Honda Guy as well! (yeah yeah let the Flamming begin!) I'm an All Around Car Enthusiast!

But I got some Small Plans for this beauty Nothing to big shes an all year round car DD but doesnt get alot of milage put on her!

some info on the Car its a 1 owner I'm the 2nd the car has 95k on it and is in near mint shape the guy was **** and took reall good care of the car! inside and out! I plan to do the same! not to mention she only gets driven about 50+ miles a week so not to much driving.

PS it is a Auto w/ Tiptronic dont know if they made this model in Manuel or not....

congrats on the car. I'm sure you will appreciate Quattro when (if) it snows! The 4.2 is a pretty solid motor. You will have to keep an eye on the transmission. in the '01, the transmissions are notorious for torque converter issues (IIRC). as long as you don't get overly frisky you should be OK.

be sure to check out the A6 section. read the stickies. you will probably also find some good information in the A8 section as they share the same engine and drivetrain that you have.
