Hi, I am new to Audi and have always loved their cars. I purchased a A4 3.o Quattro a month ago and have secondry air system code showing. I had it cleared and now the CEL is back. The car is a 2002 with only 34k on it. I think that one of the hoses might have a crack in it or have come loose because the CEL only comes on in heavy snow and rain. I think this may be the issue because the skid plate under the engine is no longer there and I think it may be sucking in water to produce the error code. Can anyone help me with the location of the pump and what to check for before I buy a new one. There is a crazy sound upon start up that goes away with in 2-4 seconds. I think this might be the pump starting up when it;s cold because it doesn't make the noise when the car is warm. Could this be the sign of a failing secondary air pump? Pics and location would be very helpful.
