In 1980, Audi introduced the world to something new. Full-time all-wheel drive to volume-produced passenger cars. We called it quattro. We still do. Now in its fourth generation, Audi's quattro® permanent all-wheel drive directs power where and when it's needed.
Under ideal conditions power is split 50/50 front to rear. But in extreme cases up to 67% of the engine's power can be directed to a single wheel. The benefits to the driver are safety, performance, power, and control in copious amounts.
While no drivetrain can repeal the laws of physics, quattro affords drivers the chance to act, not merely react. In fact, it's that added measure of confidence that Audi drivers cite when asked why they chose our brand of all-wheel drive. In the real world and on real roads all over the planet, there's quattro. And not quite.

Honestly the reason behind that is because they are hard to come by, and I dont mean that in a dirty way or anything, but Girls who are into cars are very rare, so when they come around we tend not to flame them and scar them for life, we would rather have them feel welcome than scared off... dont know if that makes any sense but hey im great at Rambling

ya tell me about it .. i used to have a dsm.. its was a 95 eclipse with the blitz kit, 19' racing harts hmm.. carbon fiber hood.. and racing seats along with every bolt on... so ya i know first hand about guy attention, because im into cars.. but hey i like it

wow, this doesn´t suite in one sentence...
who got the idea to call a package quattro that you can buy with a non quattro audi? that´s crazy!
luckily in germany you can order the s-line package ;-)
alright alright i was just telling you what the dealership told me.. and i guess they had no clue what they were talkinging about. Here is the exact issue.
On my glove box it is ingraved Quattro. (but there is no Quattro badge on the grill or the back. Now the car fax says 2000 Audi TT FWD Quattro. lol im not kidding. Now the underneath of the car has no rear dif. so im guessing its impossible to the the AWD quattro. But Who would just randomly replace a glove box?? So i am super confussed.

eighter it´s a quattro or it is not...
you can waste your radio, your handles and even a glove box.... and when it´s broken you look for a new by ebay. if there´s only one with the quattro sign you buy this because it doesn´t matter and it suites in your car..... must be like that.
by the way: a friend to me has ingraved words like he wanted them and the car is defenitely not a "streetfight-edition"
