New on Here
Hi There
Taken the plunge and joined what looks like a good forum, from Lancashire in the UK.
Currently have a B6 1.9TDi quattro, which goes back at the end of the month. Looking forward to picking up my B6 2.5Tdi quattro on the 28th :-)
Not quite sure what toys it has yet, but certainly RNS-E, Bluetooth and Xenons for a start.

RE: New on Here
Thanks for the welcome.
I love the diesels, found the 1.9 a little underpowered with the quattro, hence the 2.5 :-)
Have had a 1.8T as a loaner a couple of times and been unimpressed. But only driven for the day, and it is a different style with all that Diesel torque, so maybe a little unfair, although I was surprised at the extra noise of the Petrol during motorway cruising. The combination of fuel consumption and performance makes the Diesels a good choice over here.

RE: New on Here
Louder when cold. Once warm there isn't much in it. The thing that makes the biggest difference is the 6 Speed box and the high gearing.
My 1.9TDi (130hp) does 95mph at just 3000rpm, so whilst engine rev for engine rev a Diesel is louder, the gearing makes it quieter at most noemal crusing speeds.
And all that Torque makes it swift (rather than fast).
