I'm not chipped yet. I'm waiting for GIAC to go flashloader for our cars. Then I don't have to remove ECU and send it in etc... I just plug in and play!
Since you have a aftermarket valve already in, you should be fine. ONly the stock ones can't handle the extra boost.
With your boost controller, don't boost higher than ~20psi. The KO3 turbo can't really hold much more than that.
The FMIC (front mount intercooler) is a great idea if you have the money... like me I'm on a tight budget so it's out of the question right now.
You can get one from APR or make one yourself, search EBAY FMIC. SOme people choose this route and works out great. May have to shave down your front bumper a little bit depending on size fit though.

Personally, I'm saving up for the GIAC right now. I bought the used 710n DV.
Nothing really else on my car except basics. Tints, New Zimmermann rotors, new PBR ceramic pads, painted calipers, Rial Como rims, new tires... looking at doing clear corner mod and putting in some 4K headlights i found in the garage.
Down the line, maybe once I leave for college... I'm looking at exhaust, maybe FMIC, and suspension. Right now can't do much because my parents really don't 'approve' of me spending my money on my car.... but w/e

yeah i am in the same boat you are.....pretty tight budget i just started a new job and all...yeah i should probably wait for the flashloader that would just be so easy to plug and play...
yeah i kindof figured that the KO3 cant really handle the boost...i definetly want to get a bigger turbo and a front mount intercooler when i get the money...but its hard to save haha...how would you even go about making a front mount intercooler...do you think i should get a turbo timer...my friends keep telling i should but i dont think i am running my car hard enough yet or should i waite till i get my turbo upgrade.......what kind of turbo should i get when i get one....i was thinking of like a KO4 what do you think

 

all depends how far (and fast) you want to take it. some people get bored of their KO4's
if you want to go into turbo stuff PM chaos92287 because I'm not too experienced with upgrading turbo

i might just go with the KO4 so i dont have to build up the motor and spend more money and crap haha......how much do KO4 usually cost and what would i need to run a KO4 or a GTRS in my car.

 

i honestly don't know. I'm not the right person to talk to about that. Hopefully someone else gets on here or search for turbo costs or w/e. Good luck!
