My name is Craig and I live in Seattle, USA. I have an Audi 90 Quattro 20 Valve from 1991. It has more that 230K miles and is well traveled. It has been across the Death Valley; and survived. It has also been to Alaska's Prudhoe Bay and many many places in the Southwestern US. It is rather tired and the back seat has been abused by Holly my 4 year old Labrador Retriever. ('Named after Holly on "Red Dwarf"...HAHA!)
Although the car is a little rough, I love this vehicle!!!
Currently it is starting with difficulty because the safety switch that is engaged when one presses in the clutch is failing. It takes 2 to 3 tries to get it lit and it's getting worse. I have to really press the clutch firmly to the floor and I'm worried that one day soon, nothing will happen. I'm wondering if someone can tell me where this switch is located and how I can just disable it? I'm thinking there must be a way to just work around it rather than replace it...

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I'm glad to be a new member of this forum

Cheers!

welcome, that would be a better question to pose in the classic audi section of the forum, you might get a quicker answer there.
