Hi everyone

Found this forum and in need of some helpful advice

I dont currently own an Audi, but with the opportunity of a Company car coming up - i was very interested in the A3 Range... particularly the Diesels..

The confusing part is how many models are available, their rough price and insurance groups..

Im not after a *NEW* car - but one which is maybe a few years old? - Ill jot down a list of requirements which i hope someone wouldnt mind pointing me in the right direction

. Few years old (No more than 5)
. 110 - 130bhp TDi Model
. Diesel (TDi)
. Budget is about 8-14k

One model which caught my eye was the Audi A3 1.9TD quattro Sport Hatchback 3dr - can anyone offer any advice / opinion on these?

The alternative was the A3 1.9 TDi PD (i think its called).

Would greatly appreciate any advice. I would also have plans to purchase a tuning box to up the power to about 150bhp - which is one of the reasons i wanted to keep with diesel. Has anyone on here got one of these cars and done the same modification? How much better is it? worth the price?

Thanks everyone

Hi wez welcome to the forum. I'd try to help you but we don't get the A3 or TDI engines in the States. [:@]
